Important Information March 30th - June 10th
The last day of school will be June 10, 2020. Report cards will be released on April 10, 2020 for grades recorded through March 13, 2020. A PeachJar flyer will be sent to parents on how to access the report card through PowerSchool’s Parent Portal. Through the end of the school year, grades will be Pass or Fail instead of a numerical grade. Students are required to complete assignments and participate in class meetings in order to receive a pass. Students who do not participate in class meetings or complete assignments will be required to attend summer school. A record will be kept of assignments completed and meeting attendance for each student. Third grade class meetings will be held each day from 8:00-9:00 a.m. beginning Monday, March 30th. To join a classroom meeting, go to classroom.google.com or click on Google Classroom app if you have downloaded one on your device, click on your homeroom teachers name. Click on the link titled 3rd Grade Google Meeting. The schedule will be as follows: 8:00-8:20 Math, 8:20-8:40 Science/Social Studies, 8:40-9:00 Reading/Language Arts. Students will stay in the same meeting and teachers will join at their scheduled time to deliver instruction. If a student is unable to join the classroom meeting, a recorded session will be available for viewing on Google Classroom. After students finish with the class meeting or viewing a recorded meeting, please click on Mark As Done. If students do not have internet they may join by calling the phone number provided by their homeroom teacher. Students will be given participation and attendance credit if they complete assignments and attend class meetings. Students without internet service will receive credit for packets completed and joining class meetings by phone. Parents of students may pick up student iPads at school beginning Friday, March 27th anytime from 8:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. If you picked up a chromebook device earlier you need to return it along with the charger prior to receiving the iPad. Parents will be required to sign the iPad Loan Agreement when picking up the iPads.
